David Hopper

I was born in South Shields and after taking part in sports growing up I decided to study physiotherapy as I had a keen interest in sports injuries and rehabilitation. I qualified with my physiotherapist degree in 2005 from Northumbria University and have been working as a physiotherapist at a regional NHS Trust gaining experience in my core rotations and specialising in musculoskeletal disorders and therapy- during this time I have also gained extensive experience in the management of chronic pain, orthopaedic issues and paediatric rehabilitation.

I have also worked alongside Newcastle Football Academy gaining a vast wealth of knowledge in sports rehabilitation and injury management. Since graduating I have continued my professional development and completed my masters degree in physiotherapy as well as completing a range of external training courses including acupuncture, trigger point release, kinesio taping levels 1-3, advanced mobilisation, grade 5 manipulation as well as many more.

I have worked at the Westoe Practice for over 5 years and I am a hands-on therapist and I work towards and agreed goal with my patients during their sessions. I specialise in sports injuries, management of chronic pain, osteoarthritis and musculoskeletal problems.
