We believe in the hands-on approach combined with exercise
What is Physiotherapy?
At the Westoe Practice we believe in the hands-on approach combined with exercises as part of a home exercise program for each individual.
David Hopper and Amy Dobson are the Westoe Practice Physiotherapists and both have extensive experience with hands-on physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and injury prevention and believe this to be something that can be offered to everyone.

PRE & POST NATAL CARE
A typical session
Rehabilitation is a massive part of physiotherapy but we can also help prevent injuries, and pre-habilitation is becoming ever popular. If you choose to see our physiotherapists, your appointment would last roughly 30 minutes and include full consultation. The consultation will involve a discussion of your symptoms and personal goals followed by a physical assessment.
During the examination, your physiotherapist will be assessing your posture, joint range of movement, muscle tone, length and strength and, depending on your symptoms, may check your reflexes and sensation. On completion of your assessment you will be given a clear diagnosis, prognosis and an appropriate treatment plan will be discussed and implemented.
How can it help you?
Whether you are looking to overcome injuries, abolish pain, recover from surgery or attain optimal health, physiotherapy will move you closer to your potential and the highest possible level of function and performance you can attain.
Physiotherapy helps restore movement and function to as near normal as possible when someone is affected by injury, illness or by developmental or other disability.
