Thai Massage

Stretch muscles and tendons, tone internal organs and balancing energy

What is Thai massage?

Thai Massage, also known as Nuad Boraen is a form of therapeutic massage. Put simply: you lie there while your therapist compresses, pulls, stretches and rocks your body to release energy blockages and relieve tension. It is a clothed massage using no oil or lotion. The overall effect is one of deep relaxation, rejuvenation, and physical and mental wellbeing.

How does it work?

Your therapist will use thumbs, palms, forearms, elbows, knees and feet to add pressure to the body of the recipient. Assisted stretching and pulling you into yoga positions helps in opening up joints, stretching muscles and tendons, toning internal organs and balancing energy.

How can Thai massage help you?

A typical Thai massage session at the Westoe Practice will take approximately 60 minutes and will begin with a brief consultation and review of symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle. Most people feel relaxed and invigorated from the sessions – often leaving feeling a few inches taller!
